Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Assure ID Services. By creating an account, downloading the application, installing the browser extension, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Assure ID Inc. ("Assure ID", "we", "us", or "our"), a Delaware corporation. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference.
Assure ID provides a family technology platform accessible through: the Assure ID web portal and family management platform; the Assure ID application for iOS; the Assure ID child application for iOS, which runs on a child's device and delivers in-the-moment guidance and, where enabled, device-level content controls; and the Assure ID browser extension on supported browsers (together, the "Services"), which power the Assure ID AI Assistant (the "AI Assistant"). Features vary by account type and surface. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
The Services are for adults who are parents or legal guardians. You must be at least 18. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18, have authority to enter this agreement on behalf of your household, are the parent or legal guardian of any minors whose information you add, and that your information is accurate.
You are responsible for your credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us at support@assureid.io of any unauthorized use. Each account is for a single household and may not be shared or created on behalf of third parties without authorization.
You may close your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Delete account) or by contacting support@assureid.io. We process deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The Services are set up and controlled by a parent or legal guardian. The Services include software that runs on a child's device and browser and that interacts with the child directly, such as on-screen guidance and, where enabled, content limits. You direct and authorize that use.
As the parent or guardian, you accept responsibility for: all information you provide about minors in your household; ensuring any minor whose device or activity is connected to your account does so with your knowledge and consent; and informing any household member aged 13 or older that their device activity is associated with your account and obtaining their consent where required by law.
By adding a child to your account, you represent that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and consent to the collection, storage, and processing of information about that child as described in our Privacy Policy. If you believe a child has accessed the Services without parental authorization, contact support@assureid.io.
You may use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial household purposes. The Services are intended for a parent or guardian to supervise and support their own minor children.
You agree not to:
Certain features are powered by artificial intelligence, including the AI Assistant. By using them you acknowledge that:
Your use of AI features is also subject to our third-party AI providers' terms.
Assure ID is a supplemental tool to support parents and guardians. It is not a safety, monitoring, security, or surveillance guarantee. The AI Assistant analyzes content using automated methods that may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, and it will not detect or act on all harmful, dangerous, explicit, or otherwise objectionable content. You acknowledge and agree that:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Assure ID is not liable for any harm, loss, or damage arising from content or activity the Services did not detect, block, or report, or from any reliance on the Services as a safety or monitoring measure.
By installing the extension, you grant the permissions necessary for it to function, and you are responsible for managing those permissions in your browser. The extension is subject to the applicable browser platform's terms (such as the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies), which govern its distribution and installation. We may update the extension from time to time.
The Assure ID applications are distributed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms, which govern their distribution and installation. You are responsible for managing app permissions on your device. The Apple-Enabled Software Addendum at the end of these Terms applies to your use of the applications.
If you participate in a beta or early-access program:
The Services and all related content, technology, and materials are owned by Assure ID or its licensors. These Terms transfer no ownership to you. "Assure ID" and associated marks are our trademarks; do not use them without permission.
Content you submit ("Your Content") remains yours. By submitting it, you grant Assure ID a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, and process Your Content, including by transmitting it to our service providers (such as our AI and infrastructure providers) as needed, solely to provide and maintain the Services. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
If you provide feedback or ideas, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not endorse them; your use of them is at your own risk.
Assure ID is a paid product. Subscriptions to the Services are sold through the Apple App Store and processed by Apple. When you purchase a subscription:
Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We do not provide refunds for partial periods unless required by law. We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply to renewals after the change takes effect.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASSURE ID DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information obtained through the Services is accurate. Nothing in the Services constitutes professional advice.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASSURE ID AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, which may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Assure ID and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms or applicable law or third-party rights, or content you submit.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or prolonged inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive, including Sections 6, 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 18.
Before starting a formal dispute, contact support@assureid.io and give us a reasonable chance to resolve it.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and Assure ID agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, rather than in court. You waive any right to a jury trial and agree that claims may be brought only individually, not as a class or representative action. This provision does not apply to claims qualifying for small claims court or to claims involving our intellectual property. Opt-out: you may reject this arbitration provision by emailing support@assureid.io within 30 days of first accepting these Terms; if you do, neither party is bound by this Section 17.2.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
Entire Agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Assure ID and supersede prior agreements.
Severability. An unenforceable provision is modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remains in effect.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign freely, including in a merger or sale.
Notices. We may notify you by email or by posting in the Services; notices to us go to support@assureid.io.
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you by posting in the Services or by email and updating the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and close your account.
This Addendum applies to Assure ID applications you obtain from the Apple App Store ("Apple-Enabled Software"):
